FAQ
Can I lose money?
Only one way: holding a ticket through a burn that takes it. Every other path out is profitable or neutral — exiting in any window pays more than the ticket cost; a cancelled game refunds 0.09 of your 0.1 SOL. That's the entire deal: you're paid to leave, you risk to stay.
What are my odds of winning the whole game?
With one ticket among N sold and nobody ever exiting: 1/N — same as any fair lottery. Exits improve it for those who remain (fewer claimants stay in the race). Unlike any fair lottery, you also get ~7 chances along the way to leave with a profit instead.
Is buying more tickets better?
It's linear: 10 tickets = 10 independent entries, 10× the exit value, 10× the win odds, capped at 100 per wallet per game. There's no bulk bonus — and no bulk penalty.
Why didn't the game start the second the countdown ended?
Because on a blockchain someone must send the transaction. The Spin button lights up for everyone the moment the game is ready, and the first presser earns a reward. The delay is usually seconds. (Why it works this way.)
I pressed Spin and closed the app. Did I break the game?
No. The sequence you started stops safely wherever it stops, the button lights up again, and anyone continues from the exact on-chain state. Nothing can be "left broken" — every step is atomic.
I exited late and some tickets stayed in. Why?
Large exits split across several transactions, and the window closes on a block count. Transactions that missed the deadline simply failed (costing only their network fee) — the tickets they carried are still alive and face the next burn. Exit earlier, or in smaller chunks. (Details.)
What happens if everyone exits?
The final burns finish off whoever remains, the game ends with no winner, and the jackpot goes to the lottery treasury — it doesn't roll over. The exiters all left with guaranteed profit; the pot they left behind just has no claimant. (Money flows.)
Can the team rug?
Read On-chain & non-custodial for the full picture. Short version: funds sit in program vaults nobody holds keys to; payouts are atomic; revenue withdrawal is hard-wired to one address; pausing can't touch running games; and the randomness is committed before it's revealed. The contract is the custodian.
What chain, what wallet, what do I need?
Solana. The game lives in a Telegram Mini App (@burnbolabot) — a wallet is created for you on first login (exportable any time), you top it up with SOL and play. Direct contract interaction is possible for the technically inclined; the app is just the comfortable way.
Where do I watch games and results?
The app shows live games and full game history; the channel @burnbola announces openings, lock-ins, and winners; and every event is independently visible on Solscan.
